Hello everyone!
With a full load of painting commissions plus an exciting re-design of my studio, I’ve had to put my blog project temporarily “on hold” for a while. I’ll be adding more entries once my schedule simmers down a bit!
Meanwhile…if you’re heading to Kentucky this weekend, check out the live and silent auctions taking place at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington! One of my framed Smarty Jones signed and numbered limited edition art reproductions is included in a special Smarty Jones lot presented by Linda Hanna (author of the newly published book “Barbaro, Smarty Jones & Ruffian: The People’s Horses”) and Pat Chapman, owner of Smarty Jones. All auction proceeds will benefit the Kentucky Horse Council’s needy horses fund! As most of you know, my racehorse art introduces each chapter in Dr. Hanna’s fine book. If you don’t have your copy yet, you can purchase one (signed by me) from my web site www.RohdeFineArt.com (click on the link on the right). The book is also available through all major online book stores including Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com. If you’re going to be at the Horse Park, you can purchase one directly from Dr. Hanna and Mrs. Chapman! You’ll love it! ‘Til next time!
Welcome to my blog! My collectors have been after me a long time to set up my own online journal, and here it is! Through this blog, I plan to share with you some of my latest paintings, projects and news as well as interesting inside information and commentary about my artwork. Stay tuned! — Heather Rohde
